About Me

Hi there, and welcome to my little blog.

I’m a IT consultant specialising in Citrix and Microsoft technologies. I hope to use this blog to help share with the IT community some of the more interesting scenarios I come across in my work life, including my other thoughts and ramblings I care to post about. You could say this is my karma as I try to help other IT professionals as I have used many other blogs to help me along the way to this day…

Luke Davis KartingI currently have the following IT qualifications under my belt :

  • CCP-V, CCA-V – XenDesktop 7
  • CCA – XenApp 6.5
  • MCSA – Windows Server 2012
  • MCITP – Windows Server 2008

But enough with the IT stuff. I’m a big fan of Formula 1 and motor racing in general. I have recently participated in the Lotus Cup go-karting league that gets exposure in Karting Magazine at Rye House Karting track.

I always had an ambition to get involved in the computer games industry – I used to make a few levels in Unreal Engine 2 back when I thought I had the potential and drive to becoming a video game designer. But after doing a bit of work in 3DS Max, Adobe After Effects and Avid, I realised my IT talents were better directed to IT and infrastructure support. Despite this, my passion for video games is still very much alive – I strongly believe the medium will one day be a viable alternative medium to film, book and TV  of storytelling; it excites me with what the future could bring.
